From our Family to Yours

We wanted to send this card to everyone we knew but our budge is not allowing us to do that and our blog seems to reach people that we don't even know so here you all go :)
Here are some highlights of the year -
Sally had a Fancy Nancy 5th birthday and invited all her friends to join.
She graduated from her 2nd year of preschool and started Kindergarten this past fall. She learned how to swim better, ride her bike without being too afraid, and finished her 2nd year of dance where she is growing into it very well.

We bought and sold 2 dogs this year after realizing that we're not dog people no matter how small the dog is.
The Missus ran a 1/2 marathon in April and running it again with Mr. Incredible this coming April. We had a great Easter weekend together as our little family in Park City.
Mr. Incredible turned the BIG 3-0 and both he and I are starting to regress in our ages :)We took a trip to South Dakota with The Missus' family to see Sharlene and celebrate the 4th of July and a birthday. Sally stayed and spent a week with The Missus' mom and Sharlene's family while The Missus and Mr. Incredible went home (long story). Later in the month of July Sally spent another week with Mr. Incredible's parents and Burgandi's family in California visiting cousins. We also had a girls weekend in St. George so we Mr. Incredible's mom could take her granddaughters to see "Annie," Sally just LOVES her cousins!
We took a trip to Portland for a few weeks to visit The Missus' family where we went downtown to visit Carol and Geoff, took 2 day trips to the beach, went to the Enchanted Forest, hiked Multnomah Falls with 2 5-year-olds, went to the park, helped Nana with her garden and took about a million pictures of the family PLUS The Missus drove all the way home with a childhood friend, it was nice to catch up. WHAT A TRIP!!
We got visits from both the Missus' parents with younger sister Laura Lou and older sister Sharlene and her family a few times this year. We went to 2 temple open houses in our valley this year within about 6 months.
At the end of July the Missus had minor surgery that was a success (click here to find out more.) Then in September I went back to school, became a licensed CNA (Certified Nurses Assistant) by the end of October and found a job in November. It has been a wonderful experience and I'm enjoying it very much (so far). I also keep busy being a room mom to Sally's kindergarten class once a week. I LOVE being a mother to our sweet and silly Sally, I don't think that the Lord could have blessed us with a more wonderful child.
Mr. Incredible has been working so hard at both school and work to get into a good nursing program this coming summer. We're praying that he will be accepted and that he's hard work will be rewarded. He also is set to start a new job in the pediatric ICU and is very excited to start this new chapter in his career. He is a wonderful father and husband and always has time for Sally and me. Heavenly Father sure knew what he was doing when He sent Mr. Incredible into my life, it has been my biggest blessing.
Our biggest news of the year though was our trip to Disneyland at Christmas time. We spent 4 days there as a family enjoying each others company and not standing in the princess line once (heaven for me!). We were able to relax (somewhat) and be ourselves (silly) with no distractions. We laughed so hard everyday and found deeper bonds as a family.
As always we feel truly blessed as a family and have enjoyed another year together as a family. I can't remember the last time I was this blissfully happy!! I thank my Father in Heaven ever day for my many blessings. Our family is looking forward to the coming year to see what surprises and opportunities await us. We hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and has a safe New Year.
Love
Us

Christmas Morning

Our highlights of Christmas morning.
Sally's new table and pink chair with a bunch of stuff for her art studio (she didn't leave that pink chair until we left for Mr. Incredible's that evening)

Aunt Carol and Uncle Geoff send Sally a fun trio of cats that she can decorate
Matching bracelets from Disneyland
My very own pink Snuggie
Guess Who??
When we went to Disneyland we saw Santa and he asked her what she wanted for Christmas and Sally said "an alarm clock!" What kid asks for an alarm clock, mine apparently :)
Sally had to crawl under the tree to get her presents, we thought it was funny :)

Christmas Eve

My best memories of my own family and Mr. Incredible's family is time spent just hanging out with zero agenda. There doesn't need to be any planned entertainment because we provide it ourselves by just talking. This always seems to happen on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, here are some of the highlights.
Our family in our fun new jammies

The kids doing the Nativity Story
Baby Hunter (Holli and Brayden's new baby) and me
New Tinkerbell jammies
3 silly little girls and Joshie big fat foot
Matt, Sally and me

Cookies for Santa and Reindeer Food

We enjoyed making cookies and reindeer food again this year for Santa. Sally was a good help!
Sally picked the cookies cutters to use

She helped roll out the dough and cut our her favorite shapes
Sally sprinkled all of them just the way Santa would like them
She sprinkled food in the front lawn for the reindeer
Sally made Santa at school this year
And then she put out milk, cookies and carrots before going to bed

Money Money Money

Sally saved up all her change that we gave her over the past year and saved up $107 so we went to the bank and exchanged it for bills to take to Disneyland with us so she could buy souvenirs.

Sledding, Elves, Temple Square and work

This month has been super busy, I started a new job and had to orient on 9 different floors while Mr. Incredible and Sally were having fun playing. I did get a chance to do a few things with them though. Here is our month before we went to Disneyland (except Temple Square we did that after).
Mr. Incredible wanted to get a picture of me on my first day of work, yippee!

Mr. Incredible took Sally sledding one day and made her pull the sled back up the hill by herself, she LOVED sledding!!
Sally getting ready
What a cute girl!
Elves at Gardner Village and my little poser
She is always keeping us laughing
We went to see the lights at Temple Square on Tuesday and Sally fell asleep in the car and wasn't very happy when we woke her up.
But she cheered up after seeing the pink tree :)
Mr. Incredible with his awesome black and white pictures
LOVE IT!!

Memories

9 years ago today the love of my life took me on a date that ended at Temple Square where he knelt down, pulled out a ring and asked me to marry him, saying yes to Mr. Incredible was the BEST decision of my life. Mr. Incredible I LOVE LOVE LOVE you and you make me laugh and love you more and more everyday!!
PS you still give me butterflies.

I'm Creative

Dancing to Christmas Music

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

You know it's Christmas time in our house when... The Christmas tree is up

There is a new Christmas dress and picture taken in front of the Christmas tree
The Christmas lights come out of the garage...
...and go on the house
We got to the annual Festival of Trees
We start making a gingerbread house...
...and finish it.
Plus trying to find hiding places for Christmas presents, making Christmas cookies, making a trip to temple square PLUS listening to Christmas music 24/7...I LOVE Christmas season!!!

A Visit from Cousins

My sister and her family came to visit and I got to watch her kids for a night and let the girls play together. We had so much fun and I hope and pray that they can all move closer and SOON because I miss them like CRAZY!!!
My and the boys

Mr. Incredible with the gang
Silly little Ethan. We put this head band on him and he didn't touch it, most kids (Jonathan) would rip it off but not this little guy.
The girls LOVED playing dress up
Cheerleader/princesses
Who is taller?? Gotta drink that milk, it does a body good!

She's a HAM!
