We wanted to send this card to everyone we knew but our budge is not allowing us to do that and our blog seems to reach people that we don't even know so here you all go :)
Here are some highlights of the year -
Sally had a Fancy Nancy 5th birthday and invited all her friends to join.
She graduated from her 2nd year of preschool and started Kindergarten this past fall. She learned how to swim better, ride her bike without being too afraid, and finished her 2nd year of dance where she is growing into it very well.
We took a trip to Portland for a few weeks to visit The Missus' family where we went downtown to visit Carol and Geoff, took 2 day trips to the beach, went to the Enchanted Forest, hiked Multnomah Falls with 2 5-year-olds, went to the park, helped Nana with her garden and took about a million pictures of the family PLUS The Missus drove all the way home with a childhood friend, it was nice to catch up. WHAT A TRIP!!
We got visits from both the Missus' parents with younger sister Laura Lou and older sister Sharlene and her family a few times this year. We went to 2 temple open houses in our valley this year within about 6 months.
At the end of July the Missus had minor surgery that was a success (click here to find out more.) Then in September I went back to school, became a licensed CNA (Certified Nurses Assistant) by the end of October and found a job in November. It has been a wonderful experience and I'm enjoying it very much (so far). I also keep busy being a room mom to Sally's kindergarten class once a week. I LOVE being a mother to our sweet and silly Sally, I don't think that the Lord could have blessed us with a more wonderful child.
Mr. Incredible has been working so hard at both school and work to get into a good nursing program this coming summer. We're praying that he will be accepted and that he's hard work will be rewarded. He also is set to start a new job in the pediatric ICU and is very excited to start this new chapter in his career. He is a wonderful father and husband and always has time for Sally and me. Heavenly Father sure knew what he was doing when He sent Mr. Incredible into my life, it has been my biggest blessing.
Our biggest news of the year though was our trip to Disneyland at Christmas time. We spent 4 days there as a family enjoying each others company and not standing in the princess line once (heaven for me!). We were able to relax (somewhat) and be ourselves (silly) with no distractions. We laughed so hard everyday and found deeper bonds as a family.
As always we feel truly blessed as a family and have enjoyed another year together as a family. I can't remember the last time I was this blissfully happy!! I thank my Father in Heaven ever day for my many blessings. Our family is looking forward to the coming year to see what surprises and opportunities await us. We hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and has a safe New Year.
Love
Us
